Too many business owners, it’s just an idea and a motto. To others, it’s a commitment to growth and a vision to improve how you do business. For most American consumers, however, it’s much more than that. Excellent customer service is an expectation. We all think about something when doing business with someone or some company.

At Unmetered seedbox, we talk a lot about how we’re focused on our customers and want to ensure they have the best experience possible when shopping with us. In this short guide, we want to share some of our things to create a great customer experience.

Creating relationships with customers is an integral part of what we do every day. We love interacting with customers, seeing their projects come to life, and receiving their feedback.

Being kind and courteous to everyone is vital, whether it’s a customer, colleague, or someone you’ve just met. Smile, offer a greeting, and always be on time (we hate waiting)! You may come across someone with a situation you weren’t aware of, so it’s essential to think before speaking or acting. Make sure you treat everyone fairly without discrimination or bias. Do the right thing for the right reasons – not because of anything someone else may say about your actions.

We’re not saying that these are the only rules you should live by in your business. Still, we believe that good intent and positive action are the essential part of building a relationship with your customers – helping them have a great experience every step of the way.

At all times, on any platform, be helpful, and don’t be shy about it!

Follow up with your customers afterward. Call them and ask how they are doing. Ask if they got what they ordered and if there is anything else you can do for them. Are they happy? And don’t forget to ask for feedback! We even send surveys to some customers after orders are processed or on their birthday. The more we get to know our customers, the easier it is to give them what they want.

The internet is the great equalizer. It levels the playing field for consumers, allowing them to find and purchase anything at a click of a button. With the rapid growth of this space, more and more consumers are shopping online.

Provide value to your customers by making it easy and painless to do business with you

One of the most important things you can do for your customers makes it easy to do business with you. If a customer gets into a jam or has a concern or complaint, they can get a hold of you and get things sorted out.

  • Attach your phone number to every message. Even if they cannot contact you directly, they’ll at least know how to get in touch with you.
  • To make things easier for your customer, provide them with multiple payment options. This can include cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc.
  • Make it easy for your customer to unsubscribe from your mailing list by making the link prominent and easy to find. There’s nothing worse than getting an email that makes you click a dozen times to subscribe or unsubscribe.
