Staying Healthy At A Music Concert

We may still be in a rather chilly time of year, but the time for concerts and festivals is ahead!

Crop tops and shorts, rain boots and pack-n-macs to keep off the water – it’s all ahead. Yes, festival and concert season is coming!

For some people, this is a time to kick back and be with their friends.

For others, it’s time to enjoy their favorite bands and learn new songs, dance and drink a lot of alcohol. It’s also a time for loud music, crushing crowds and a lot of people you don’t know.

So, you need to make sure that no matter what, you stay healthy during this concert season. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the ways you can remain as healthy as possible.

Prepare yourself before you go

Bring as many healthy and energizing snacks as you can fit in your bags such as cashews and dates, dried fruits and trail mix.

If you make sure that you have snacks, it’ll be much easier to enjoy yourself knowing you aren’t spending the earth on hotdogs!

Packing your bags should be done carefully, so add the food into plastic zip-lock bags so that security can see what you have.

You’ll have a bag search on the way in, and you need to make sure that you are honest about what’s in the bag – and don’t bring in your own alcohol!

Staying healthy is going to involve you looking after your hearing, believe it or not.

You need to ensure that you adjust any hearing aids you may have to the right settings, and you should bring ear defenders.

That may sound counter-productive, given you’re at a concert, but you’ll be speaking to an audiologist and hearing aid company if you don’t look after your hearing at a concert.

The loud music can affect the little hairs in your ears that help you with your hearing. Don’t go deaf in the name of music!

Hydrate as much as possibleMusic Concert

You want to drink plenty of water throughout the time you’re there as you’ll be drinking alcohol and dealing with all of the side effects that come with that.

The better hydrated you are, the more you will be able to handle yourself and your body will stay healthy.

Keep an eye out for good food options at the music concert

You don’t have to live on ice cream and burgers at a festival, particularly when you can get baked potatoes or freshly spit-roasted meats. There will likely be plenty of veggie options, too, so keep an eye out for those!

Don’t stand still in just one place when you are at a concert

Get moving and keep up with the fun aerobics classes that happen during a 3-day festival, and walk between sets. That way, you keep the blood flowing.

You will feel so much better after your concert if you are looking at keeping your body as healthy as possible. Plan today and execute the plan tomorrow!
