How to Be Relaxed & Active at the Same Time

Whether it’s your job, family, or life’s obstacles, keeping your cool can seem somewhat of a challenge. As stress takes over, it may come as no surprise that you find yourself procrastinating, feeling lethargic, or simply lazy–unless you are the type of stressor that can clean the entire house or like to distract yourself with various projects!

Healthine reveals that stress can show up in men in many different ways, including chest pain, headaches, upset stomachs, fatigue, neck and back pain, and difficulty concentrating, just to name a few!

With that in mind, it’s no wonder you are feeling incapable of mandatory tasks and obligations when you seem to be loaded with them. Is it possible to be relaxed and proactive at the same time? Clearly, it’s the only way to do things if you suffer from the above symptoms of stress.

If that is so, how can we men find the harmonious balance so we can get our work done without the physical and mental obstacles that accompany feeling overworked and run down?

At some point in society’s recent history, many Eastern techniques for finding that balance and producing optimum work have mingled their way into Western society. Along the journey, many of these techniques bound with Western philosophies, ideas, and practices, to create this sort of melting pot of ways to bring your mind and body back to equilibrium.

Some of these Eastern techniques are yoga and meditation. Some of the Western add-ons are nootropics and other brain stimulators.

Yoga & Meditationimprove your productivity

According to Google, Yoga is “a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation.”

If you haven’t heard of the concept of yoga yet, you are only at the starting line. “Yoga,” like “Business” or “Anthropology,” is an umbrella term for all the “disciplines… widely practiced for health and relaxation.”

There is Vinyasa yoga, Hatha yoga, Restorative yoga, Hot yoga, Shadow yoga, etc. The list never ends as people are combining different elements to form new types of yoga! Meditation is also yoga: yoga of the mind.  If the vastness of yoga is stressing you out, we recommend you pick one (at least). Here’s why.

Medical News Today shared a study on yoga’s effect on stress. Adrenaline and cortisol are two of the most well-known stress hormones. Depending on how stressed you get and how frequently, your blood vessels can become damaged. Frequent yogis revealed lower levels of cortisol after three months.

Yoga is something you can do at home, for free, on YouTube if you have the motivation and discipline. If not, yoga studios are located in every major city and most smaller cities. Some yoga classes are even held at the park or another relaxing location outdoors!

Similarly, meditation improves anxiety levels, helps with insomnia, and can improve your productivity (DisturbMeNot.co). To be more specific, you can expect to see an increase in your productivity by 120%! According to Disturb Me Not, after only four days of consecutive meditation–5-10 minutes is okay)–your attention span will strengthen.

For those of you who don’t quite “get” meditation, there is nothing to get but a decrease in stress and an increase in productivity! If you don’t like meditation or yoga, you can consider floatation therapy, or sensory deprivation, as an alternative.

Western AdditionsDelta-8 CBD

It’s the norm in many Western societies to pop a pill to deal with stress, such as Prozac and Benzos. It’s also standard to take something without considering or researching its side effects and dependency rates.  If you are looking for an overnight cure to stress and anxiety so you can continue headstrong into your daily to-do list, consider a less harmful, alternative form, like Delta-8 CBD or nootropics.

Delta-8 CBD is the middle man between THC and CBD. While it can provide psychoactive effects to users, it is much milder than THC, which may cause things like paranoia and drowsiness–the perfect tool for procrastination. Delta-8 allows your body and mind to relax while still feeling active and able.

Baysmokes.com is one of the leading distributors of Delta-8, offering smokable flower, vape cartridges, gummies, and more in Delta-8 and regular hemp.

According to Prevention, Nootropics are supplements meant to “optimize your mental performance, reduce stress, and decrease your risk of cognitive decline.” Nootropics consist of many herbs, fungi, and other natural brain-boosting compounds. As you can see, you have options for balancing the day-to-day stressors in life, bringing you back to an equilibrium of relaxation and productivity. Which one(s) will you choose?
