How To Get The Most Out Of Your Trip To Bonnaroo

Trip To Bonnaroo. Like any music festival of huge proportions, it takes a bit of planning and knowing how to properly enjoy it.

If you go in blind and just try to wing it you could end up having a less than stellar experience.

Failing to prepare can impact your sleeping arrangements, having enough to eat and drink and even your overall health.

Since you are there to enjoy the music, your preparation can set you up to spend more time doing that and less time trying to figure out what you’re doing.

In this article, I will go over several ways to make sure you have the experience of a lifetime when you go to Bonnaroo.

Know the local laws

This may seem like an odd place to start for a music festival but it will pay off later.

The problem is that marijuana is becoming legal in so many states that people may assume that it is also legal in Tennessee and they can light up freely.

Unfortunately, Tennessee is one of the few states left in the country in which marijuana is illegal both recreationally and medically.

If you decide to smoke there then you better know a local Marijuana Defense Attorney to get you out of trouble.

You may see loads of people smoking and think you can do the same, but it would be terrible if a crackdown started and you got caught and couldn’t finish the festival.

Take time to rechargeTrip To Bonnaroo

No, I don’t mean your phone. Yes, you should be charging those when you have the chance, but I mean that you need to take time to take care of yourself.

You’ll be tempted to see every band on your list and to mingle with everybody there. The reality is that there are going to be times when you need to take a step back.

Go get that drink of water instead of another beer. Go get in the shade when the sun is beating down so you have the energy to make it through the day.

And take naps when you start feeling like your energy is fading.

By the time the festival is wearing on, you will see lots of people succumbing to exhaustion.

You don’t want to be one of those people.

Pack wellgoing on a safari

Before we get into what you need to pack, you need to be aware that Bonnaroo has a rule about clear bags.

Your backpack, fanny pack and any bags for toiletries need to be clear.

Now, you have to make sure that you are packing as if you are going on a safari so you are prepared for harsh conditions.

That includes a hat that covers your neck to prevent sunburns.

A bandana is also helpful as there can be a lot of dust kicked up in the air when the wind blows.

It does get chilly at night so have some warm clothes.

And clean socks are a must. Always have some backups so you can put on clean socks at the end of the day.
