The Top Five TV Shows You Should Stream Right Now

Are you looking for new and exciting tv shows to watch? We’ve got you covered with five amazing television shows to check out today.

Whether you’ve always loved a good TV binge or quarantine has you spending more time on the couch, sifting through your favorite streaming service for a new show can be overwhelming and exhausting.

That’s why we’ve compiled a list of the top 5 TV shows you should stream right now.

Master of None

This popular Netflix comedy stars the award-winning actor Aziz Ansari, who rose to fame on the TV show Parks and Recreation.

On Master of None, Aziz plays the role of Dev, a 30-year old actor living in New York.

The show follows his often humorous, always relatable struggles as he hangs out with friends, tries his hand at relationships, and struggles through the ups and downs of his career.

Because this is a Netflix Original, you’ll only find the series on the streaming site.

But there are already two seasons available, making this a great weekend binge.

NCIS

If you’re looking for a truly binge-able show, NCIS is a great choice.

With 17 seasons already under its belt and an 18th on the way, you’ll have hundreds of hours of catching up to do.

When you’re done, you’ll still have plenty to look forward to.

This popular crime drama follows a team of NCIS, or Naval Criminal Investigative Service agents as they solve crimes, catch criminals and terrorists, and get mixed up in plenty of drama in their personal lives as well.

With new characters circulating through, you won’t have to worry about getting bored.

PoldarkPoldark

This series has actually been around since 2015. But if you’ve already caught up on the latest shows during the global pandemic, this is one of the best streaming shows that largely flew under the radar.

Poldark is a historical fiction that actually brings back to life a character that appeared on TV more than 40 years ago.

In this re-boot, protagonist Ross Poldark is a redcoat in the American Revolution. When he returns to Europe after the war, he discovers that everyone back home thought he was dead.

You can watch Ross find out that his love has married his cousin, his lands have been ruined, and his father is dead on PBS.

Depending on your location, you may be able to stream PBS without cable, using a TV antenna.

Tiger King

If you haven’t already watched what is sure to be one of 2020’s top shows, now is a great time.

Head to Netflix to watch Tiger King, a documentary about the world of roadside zoos and tiger breeding in the U.S, and finally join the cool cats and kittens club.

With just 8 episodes, this is one of the best shows on Netflix, as well as one of the shortest.

After Lifeavailable on Netflix

While the show isn’t new, the second season of After Life did debut in 2020.

This British show is technically a comedy, but seeing how the main character has recently lost his wife to cancer and his life is slowly unraveling, expect some dark humor.

Still, there’s something about the gruff, straightforward, sad Tony that will keep you coming back for more.

This show is also available on Netflix.
