Resort Wear Must Haves

Almost immediately after we’ve booked our flights and accommodation, we’re mentally planning breezy summer outfits and making a list of must-have pieces to pack. Navigating limited baggage allowances and enough businesses for whatever tropical escapades you may find yourself in while looking and staying cool is never an easy feat.

That’s why we’ve done leg work and curated a list of essential resort wear styles to nail your tropical getaway look.

White Summer Dress

Whether you’re island hopping from Paros to Santorini or indulging in a weeklong stay at a Caribbean island resort, a white sundress is non-negotiable. Versatile and quintessentially summer, this piece will take you from a laid-back poolside lunch to sunset cocktails overlooking the sparkling blue ocean.

Channel your inner beach babe with a flowing A-line skirt or keep it chic with a plunging neckline and shorter hem. For an effortless daytime look, pair a simple white dress with tan leather sandals, a coordinating bag, an oversized straw hat.

Although we haven’t quite mastered the art of packing light, we’ll certainly do everything in our power to avoid unwanted additional baggage charges and disapproving looks at the check-in desk. Consequently, we’re filling as many versatile, day-to-night pieces as our baggage limit will allow.

A lightweight maxi in a bold colour or all-over print will see you transition seamlessly from the beach to the bar – keep it casual with a pair of simple slides and cat eye sunglasses or add some glam with statement earrings and a clutch for after-dark. Look for a breathable fabric to keep you cool and standout features such as a wrap neckline or tiered skirt.

Resort Must Haves: Two Piece SetWhite Summer Dress

Keeping in with the theme of versatile pieces, we can’t go past a two-piece set. With an endless number of beautiful colors and styles to choose from, you’re guaranteed to find one that makes you look and feel stunning whilst on your next island vacation.

Pair the crop and skirt together for an easy evening ensemble, and complete the look with a pair of strappy sandals and a woven clutch. Wear the top with white linen pants or denim shorts and slides for an effortlessly cool daytime look. We love the luxe finish that structured crops and poplin lace fabrics bring to this look.
